The 13th Beach Boardriders were once again treated to a spectacular day of waves for their second competition of the 2008 season. Not for the first time in 2008 the event was held on the illustrious Left Bank notorious for high quality waves through all tides.

The day following Steph Gilmore’s win at Bells this year saw a promo photo shoot at Jan Juc with Steph, a crew of Gally’s surf school and many of the 13th Boardriders microgroms. Check out some shots from the day!

First Contest this Saturday!

Our first contest of the season is coming up this Saturday (8th of March). The event is proudly sponsored by Rip Curl and is set for a huge turn-out. If you haven’t yet signed up for the year make sure you get down to the beach early to get it sorted.

13th score 3rd @ Jim Beam Surtag

The Victorian leg of the Jim Beam Surftag series was held on the weekend at Gunnamatta. Teams of 5 surfers from each club were pitted against one another in a tag-team format. 13th was represented by Simon Collier, Shawn Todd, Cam Renzenbrink, Ben Collier and Minni Crapp. Club teams included Peninsula A & B, Torquay, Phillip Island, Seaford (from SA) and us.
