Surfing’s inaugural Battle of the Bridge was taken out by Barwon Heads after they downed rival town Ocean Grove on Saturday afternoon at Thirteenth Beach. The Thirteenth Beach Boardriders gathered at Left bank to enjoy the small swell running down the fabled sandbar to kick-start the first ever Ocean Grove v Barwon Heads surf off.

Billabong Contest #3
The 13th Beach Boardriders reached the halfway mark of their 2008 campaign at the weekend with over 150 competitors having a dip in the fair conditions on offer. A 2 - 3 foot swell, light north westerlies and a dropping tide prompted competition organises to run the event at Beacon for the first time in 2008
13th Footy Trip
The club had its annual footy trip on Friday night, witnessing the mighty Cats get crunched by Collingwood. 18 club members joined the 80,000 strong crowd at the MCG for the night-game.

13th Contest #2
The 13th Beach Boardriders were once again treated to a spectacular day of waves for their second competition of the 2008 season. Not for the first time in 2008 the event was held on the illustrious Left Bank notorious for high quality waves through all tides.
