Our first contest of the season is coming up this Saturday (8th of March). The event is proudly sponsored by Rip Curl and is set for a huge turn-out. If you haven’t yet signed up for the year make sure you get down to the beach early to get it sorted.

The Victorian leg of the Jim Beam Surftag series was held on the weekend at Gunnamatta. Teams of 5 surfers from each club were pitted against one another in a tag-team format. 13th was represented by Simon Collier, Shawn Todd, Cam Renzenbrink, Ben Collier and Minni Crapp. Club teams included Peninsula A & B, Torquay, Phillip Island, Seaford (from SA) and us.
To get things started for 2008 we’re having a Sign-Up Afternoon @ Beacon Car-park, starting at 1 o’clock this Sunday (the 3rd of Feb). We’ll be cranking up a free BBQ and having our Annual General Meeting as well at 2:30.
Josh Johsnon-Baxter has started the year off with a great performance at the Kustum Jetty Surf Junior Pro. Held at both Jan Juc and Bells Beach throughout the week, Josh progressed deep into the business end of the contest.
The annual Victorian leg of the Jim Beam Surtag series is coming up on Saturday 2nd February. It’s once again being held on the east coast at Rye Back Beach. In previous years the club has underperformed in the poor conditions so hopefully we get to show what we’ve got in 2008.
